Arriving in April 2016...
So, it's been entirely too long since I update this. Since I last wrote, A LOT has happened.
Flashback to August: We transferred two beautiful embies on August 2nd. We then went back to work as usual, anxiously awaiting our vacation the following week. I packed two boxes of HPT's to take with me, on the off chance that I would be brave enough to take one before my blood test when we returned..Off we went to our beautiful haven that is Sapphire Valley, North Carolina for the week. We rode with my sister and her husband, and two baby girls. We got there, enjoyed the cooler weather and just enjoyed being around one another uninterrupted by work and the usual crazies that our lives bring. Well, being the impatient person I am, I caved and tested early Sunday morning, which would've been 7days past our transfer. I woke Eric up and said "I think I see a little line!!" and his response was "why did you test? It's really early!" and fell back asleep...lol. So I waited two more days, and tested again, two more times..annnnndd WE'RE HAVING A BABY!!!
The rest of the week was absolutely amazing, while still being cautious because I was so nervous something I would do would ruin it and hurt the pregnancy (yes, i'm crazy.) We went back home and the following Monday I went in for my Beta draw, and it was 1653 at 15 days past transfer (which is GREAT!) My IVF doc didn't even need to do a second one 48 hours later since it was so high. WE ARE GOING TO HAVE A BABY <3 It seemed almost unreal for the entire first trimester. Around 8-9 weeks, the nausea really started to kick in, and eating was almost impossible. Pop tarts, as gross and fake as they are, were the only thing I could tolerate most mornings. We found out we were having a girl with smallcakes cupcakes..If you haven't had them, you're seriously missing out on life.
I'm well into my 2nd trimester now, almost to 3rd...YIKES. Time is flying by, and we are SO beyond excited to meet our sweet little Ruby Grace in April. That's all the update I have time for right now, but if you spent any time praying for us through this THANK YOU!! We are so blessed and thankful to have such a wonderful support system in our lives. GOD is GOOD, all the time <3
